Very excited about a new message series that is going to begin on Sunday, June 24th. It is entitled, “God on Film.” We will spend six weeks taking a look at some of this summer’s blockbuster hits and filtering them through the lense of Scripture.
It is my contention that Hollywood has a message and is continually preaching its message. They do so with great skill, energy, and money. In some ways, Hollywood (and the movie industry) has carved out a “pulpit” in which to preach a very powerful worldview. In this message series we want to examine some of those messages. Is it consistent with a biblical worldview? Is it contrary to a biblical worldview? Each movie sets up great life questions that lead to not only a great story, but an insight into life itself that begs for a bibical answer.

July 1st – Evan Almighty: The Cost of Changing the World
July 8th – Live Free or Die Hard: Living Every Day as if it is the Last
July 15th – Ratatouille: Deciding You Deserve Better in Life
July 22nd – Transformers: Changing Your Life For Good
July 29th - License to Wed: Passing the Marriage Test
As we mentioned on Sunday, anyone who brings a friend to our first week of the series (June 24th) will receive free movie passes to Showplace 16! Not only will YOU receive free movie passes, but your GUESTS that you bring on that Sunday will receive free movie passes as well (must be 14 years and older to participate)!
