Mother Teresa’s Crash of Faith

I don’t know if anyone has heard about Time magazine’s article which describes some of Mother Teresa’s great faith struggles.  In spite of public face, it sounds like in private correspondence (that she requested be burned at her death but was overruled by her church after her death) with her superiors and other confidants that she actually struggled in a serious way with doubt, faith, abandonment by God, etc.

You can read the article here.

It is a great illustration and timely example of how all of God’s saints walk through crashes of faith.  Tomorrow morning we conclude our series on High Energy Faith with the fourth week where we talk about “Jolt:  The Crash of Faith.”  So, if you have ever felt some of Mother Teresa’s own struggles or find that you are living in what definitely could be described at best as a “low-energy faith” or at worst a “full on crash“…don’t miss tomorrow morning (even if in faith you don’t feel like it :-) )
