In March of 2006 we, the Living Stones Church, led by Dena Counts and the Intercessory Team began a forty day time of prayer in which we asked everyone in our church to commit an hour to come to the prayer room in our church and pray for the vision God has given us, for the neighborhoods and schools around us, and for our church in general.  Every day, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, for forty straight days we prayed.  In spite of my predictions, we didn’t miss a single hour time slot.  I would say that prayer journey is on my top three experiences I’ve had to date at the Living Stones Church.  It was awesome!!  I will never forget the first Sunday after we began and the Sunday after we concluded…powerful!!

In preparation for our Ink’d series we want to initate another prayer journey next week.  For three straight days…beginning at noon on Wednesday, September 5th through noon, Saturday September 8th we will again be asking people to commit an hour to come to the prayer room to pray. 

I promise it will be an awesome experience!!  If you have never prayed for an hour before, I promise the time will fly.  Our prayer room has several “stations” in it that will guide and instruct you along the way if you need help.  There are journals that you can write in, maps that you can pray over, personal requests that people have left, and a wall that you can write your own thoughts and/or prayers!  So, if you haven’t already – sign up this Sunday to spend an hour (or more if you would like) in prayer over these three days!!
