Last night Kelly and I went to bed, and when I got to my door, my son, Caleb, had taped a sleep mask (which I love the sleep mask thing…why didn’t I discover that years ago!!) that said “sweet dreams” along with two note cards with his message. I beamed. And almost teared up in an ever so masculine way.

It is those moments like this that make everything worth it!

I hate to be the jerk about this moment, but I have to bring it up. Caleb spelled ‘night’ wrong. All I know is if my son trys leaving me a nice message like this with a spelling error, he would be grounded. That’s how I roll.

O.K. …but when your son’s counseling bills start to mount up and you need help paying them…don’t come asking for help from me. That’s how I roll!

So what had he done wrong? I never did something nice for my parents unless I had done something bad. I’m just sayin…

Oh My, does Kelly paint your nails a pretty color to match your darling mask?

hey “voice in the wilderness” don’t be haten just because you are jealous of my sleep mask!! And yes Kelly does paint my nails…but only my toe nails..she is into that.
Alex…you should “trys” spell check before you start dissin’ on my boy!
Miranda – don’t think I haven’t thought of that already. I checked his room. I haven’t found the evidence yet…but I’m sure it is out there.
