It is my obligation as a minister of God to proclaim that American Idol is from the Devil and anyone who wants to be serious about following Jesus should not watch and/or support it.
I might feel differently if America had voted Carly Smithson on to the next round.
But…America didn’t…so, now…prepare for what I expect to be the coming wrath of God
Didn’t Carly sing about Jesus? Oh yea…proof… I sense a conspiracy born in hell.

America messed up tonight…Carly should have stayed. Love Jason, but he or Brooke should be gone right now.

I didn’t like Carly. Her voice was often too shrill and sharp. She acted like she was the biggest star in the room, and she wasn’t my cuppa tea at all! I cringed at Brooke’s performance last night, but, Brooke and Jason’s fans rallied to keep them alive. Carly wasn’t very lovable this late in the game. To be honest, she was too obnoxious, and that came through in her sound. She was loud, but, that doesn’t make her the best. She didn’t have the soul that Jason and Brooke have and the American Idol fans just didn’t want to vote for her any more. Star quality is more than just being able to sing. There are endless numbers of great singers but few stars. I suspect Carly will never have that fan base. Three years from now, she’ll be singing in the bars still. Her 2 million dollar RCA record sold less than 400 copies and I doubt her next CD will do well. While she’s contemporary in context to the show, people will swear by her, and curse the American public, but, it’s that public who rejected her before and sent a message again that she doesn’t have the it factor it takes for them to buy what she’s selling.

You could tell that she was surprised. I have to agree with Sasha. I wasn’t a fan either. I am not sure that she should have gone now though. I thought both Jason and Brooke where pretty bad also.

Samson,
Thank you for the forgiveness. That’s very benevolent of you, seeing as how you once killed a thousand men with the jaw of a donkey.

She may have been singing about Jesus, But what I remember of that song as a kid it was considered a very controversial song, even though she changed the lyrics, I’m sure the fundi christians were not happy with her song choice much less the tatoos.
