Kelly had her meeting with the “Escalation Committee” at AT&T.
Result: Good-bye AT&T…come Tuesday…Hello Comcast!
Now: faster internet connection, more HD channels, no more “rabbit ear” antennas for HD local channels, cheaper prices (at least for a year
), a happier wife, Disney Channel in HD, and Spike TV remains intact for UFC, and another American family…fat, lazy, and stupid…sitting in front of their TVs!

and now can watch the cubs games almost every day.

I’ve got bad news for you- if your Comcast service is anything like ours here in Lafayette, you’ll be wishing you had your AT& T back. Good luck!

Don’t be so hard on yourself. You’re not fat.

We love comcast, we’ve never had a problem with it. I can’t wait to hear what happened with the escalation committee.

I have Comcast and am glad I do. Cable, internet, and phone all on one bill and it works really well. Good switch.

Hmmmmm mabye we should think about comcast for our phone service. We switched to Sprint and hate it. Can hardly wait until June to dump them. Junky phones and horrible customer service. Glad you went with Comcast and not with Sprint.

Your experience with A T & T reminds me of a very painful experience. You establish are relationship with a company (or an individual) that you trust and defend for years. And then, one day, you find that the trust has been misplaced and that company (or individual) expresses themselves in ways that are bombastic and totally unrepresentative of the ways that you feel. You become OUTRAGED and declare publicly that this is not the company (or individual) that you knew 20 years ago. And you make a break. It’s painful. You can only hope that the break didn’t come too late.

Comcast, the crack of internet providers. Cheap for the first few hits / months, then you’re hooked. Or so I’ve heard.
As for the couch potato scene this painted, if you can find a few good shows, enjoy them. I have to wait till Thursdays for LOST or a good PBS documentary series. There’s always Baby Einstein with the kiddo, too, which is exponentially less annoying to have on than say, Elmo.

That’s funny, we recently ditched Comcast to go back to AT&T for a few reasons. My consumer decisions are usually based on marketing campaigns and Comcast’s Enlightened campaign irritates me more than it should. The triple play was eventually TOO EXPENSIVE, so we hooked up the HD antennae and watch lots of movies now. If you want the full list of Comcast issues, ask Matt. If you want to know more about the antennae, ask Matt that too. I do miss Disney, HGTV, Discovery, TLC and all the HD channels, but now I’m getting stuff done around the house!

Oh yeah, we also play lots of video games now too. We’re taking advantage of Wii rentals at Blockbuster.
