I just checked the baptistry water for our baptism celebration this Sunday, May 18th. The heater is on the lowest setting, but the water temperature is like a jacuzzi! Man is it warm! There may be suffering for Jesus in the future for those being baptized on Sunday…but at the very least it won’t be because of the water temperature at baptism! 
It is going to be a phenomenal day. Bring your friends and family!
Just wondering… if the water is that warm can the rest of us climb into the “jacuzzi” after services on Sunday?

The girls have been asking if they could put on their new suits and go swimming in their pool. I keep telling them it’s to cold. Maybe they should come over and try this out.

Shane Claiborne (in his awesome book The Irresistible Revolution) said that, if Jesus were around today, he would probably let kids swim in baptistries. Then, a well-meaning church leader would sidle up to him and say, “Dude, Jesus, what’s up? Were you born in a barn?” And Jesus would say, “Yeah.”
