If you’re tired of hearing about my kid’s comments, I get that.  Sometimes I feel that way too.  One more though that I thought was interesting.  After school, Caleb (my 8 year old) sat in my office doing his homework (Kelly is out of town).  While in my office he noticed many books on my desk with “sex” in the title.  This is what he said:

Caleb:  Why do you have books with that word on them?

Daddy:  What word?

Caleb:  Sex.

Daddy:  I’m about to preach a message series on sex.

Caleb:  Do you mean boys and girls or what boys and girls do?

Daddy:  What boys and girls do.

Caleb:  oh

Here is where I panic and wonder what in the world he is thinking.  But in Caleb form, I will never know unless he decides he wants to tell me.  I ask him often, in what is one of my favorite lines from the sitcom Cheers, “Caleb, what color is the sky in your world?”
