Good friends, David & Sarah Wilson, came up from Nashville, TN to hang out with us for the weekend. David lived in South Bend back in the 90s and did A TON for our church in regards to working with teenagers back in the day. Kelly and I loved hanging out with him. David has a beautiful wife, Sarah, they are expecting their second child just about any day. Sarah loves college football (and knows more about it) more than any girl I’ve ever met. David…congratulations…and right on!!! Since returning from a trip to Africa where they spent six months working with kids living on the streets of Nairobi, they have been given a prophetic voice and perspective of possessions and global economies. David is now a lawyer in Nashville and teaches some courses on law and justice at David Lipscomb University.
We went to the Notre Dame game. Had a good day, but I got to say that the team didn’t look very good. It was a win…but barely. And we played SAN DIEGO STATE UNIVERSITY! Come on. Notre Dame did play better last half of 4th quarter so maybe that will be a sign of what is to come.
Here are some pictures of game day (I edited out all of the ones with Kelly inebriated and tailgating
)

Whose palm did you have to grease to get the tickets?

We watched the game from our table at this Italian restaurant in Chicago. We were watching it so intently that the manager came over and asked us if we needed anything and we weren’t listening. Not that we’re particular Notre Dame fans, but we were glad they won for the sake of SB’s economy. So, go ND! Keep your rich fans coming in!!!

SWEET! I made your blog! I am hot stuff now.
ND looked like they can go 12-0. I smell BCS Championship Game. They’re going to roll over all of their opponents just like they decimated SDSU. Come on, who’s with me?
Thanks for the wonderful hospitality, Sam and Kelly. It was great to spend time with you. It’s great to see what you’re doing at Living Stones.
