OK…to you Facebook users.  New Facebook.  Like it?  Hate it?  Don’t care?  Anyone care to comment?

If you like the new Facebook…why?

If you hate the new Facebook…why?

The second message of our four week series entitled “and on the Sixth Night” is now on-line.  This message series is on sex.  The second week’s message is entitled, “Monogamy or Monotony?“  You can find the message here.

  • We got a record 11″ of rain this weekend!
  • My basement carpet is wet.  I hate that smell of wet, mildewing, “trying-to-dry-out” carpet.
  • Notre Dame beat Michigan on Saturday!!  Yes!
  • Our worship leader, Doug Harsch, is a Michigan fan.  I tried not to rub it in too much yesterday.  He acknowledged our win.  I thought that was big of him.
  • The fact that Doug and I can be in the same church with such different college football preferences is proof that God really can reconcile the righteous and the unrighteous. :-)
  • New attendance record yesterday at Living Stones Church (including holidays!).
  • Preached on sex again yesterday.  Podcast will be up soon www.livingstoneschurch.podbean.com
  • Preaching on sex I think got my wife in the mood!  Attention Living Stoners:  our four week sex series has been extended to 36 weeks! :-)
  • ISTEPS (Indiana’s standardized testing for public schools) begin today.  I don’t think I care much for ISTEPs.
  • I have to pay bills in a minute.  I hate that.
  • Royal Caribbean Cruiselines is coming out with the largest ship in the world (Oasis of the Seas).  While I don’t want to be on the maiden voyage (isn’t there a movie about that?) – I want to be on that cruise!  I love cruises.
  • I won’t be going on that cruise any time soon because of the point I made right above Royal Caribbean news. :-(
  • Had to cancel church picnic…but Memaw had already made her world-famous pecan pies for the picnic…so she gave us a pie!  Oh man.
  • Working hard during the week to eat healthy and go to the gym doesn’t pay off if your weekend undermines all of your efforts…and your grandma gives you pecan pies!
  • If you haven’t seen the opening skit of Saturday Night Live with Tina Fey and Amy Poehler playing Governor Sarah Palin and Senator Hillary Clinton…you have to.  It is hysterical.  Tina Fey’s impression is brilliant.
  • My wife has almost the same number of friends I do on Facebook.  I’m now about to invite complete strangers to be my friend.
  • Indianapolis Colts barely pulled off a win against the Vikings (let that be a lesson to anyone who comes to church in a bunch of Vikings garments…and you know who you are… :-) ).
  • We have butt-kicking Lead Teachers in our Children’s Ministry!
  • Jennae Gee is gathering information from some contractors on a new children’s wing.  It is exciting.  More news to follow.
  • A lot of guests at church yesterday!  I think that is awesome.  I’m curious if they knew we were talking about sex prior to showing up.  And if not, will that come back next week?
  • In two days my grass went from completely dead (seriously…I haven’t mowed in almost two months) to green!  Almost as green as Brad’s yard (“almost” is a relative term).
  • Ohio State…ouch.
  • I love guacamole.
