Government Bailout

Posted: September 29, 2008 in Finances, Money

Just paid my bills and worked on my budget.  I’ve decided that I need a government bailout.  I’m not greedy though.  I would settle for just 1% of that 700 billion dollars.

Just remember that the government bails no one out of anything. They take money from everyone and distribute it according to political expediency. And that, boys and girls, is why your paycheck is diminished by an item called “income tax withheld.”

  2. Melissa says:

And without government bailout, your paycheck could be diminished by an item called “unemployment.”

Let’s see what 1% looks like,
    700,000,000,000 x 0.01 = 7,000,000,000

    Let’s go smaller, like 0.01%
    700,000,000,000 x 0.0001 = 70,000,000

    Even smaller, 0.00001%
    700,000,000,000 x 0.0000001 = 70,000

Yeah I think 0.00001% is good enough for me.

Yeah, unfortunately, Fed said “No” – I’ve been watching the Dow fall by hundreds ever since. It is down over 700 at 3:45!

I read when a senior offical was asked how they came up with $7,000,000,000, he admited they didn’t really know the exact number, they just wanted a number that sounded really big.

I believe I was first in line for this Gov bail out
I thought WE were suppose to own up to our faults and admit to wrong doings we are not seeing this as decessions are trying to be made .
This is the type of thing that happens when you try to God out of everything my only word for this is BOO YA

  7. Janelle says:

So let’s get this straight: If the government bails out the mortage companys, and by “government” they mean tax payer money, and since I’m a taxpayer …. Should I now write out my house payment on a check payable to myself??
