Anyone watch the USC game? Holy cow that was ugly. Notre Dame looks ugly.
We (and by “we” I mean of course the Notre Dame football team and me sitting on my couch eating chili) have only three offensiveplays. And my 12 year old son predicts which of the three will be called with about 97.4% accuracy. If Isaac knows…why would we think opposing defenses would be surprised?!
Are we seriously going to accept a bowl invitation to maybe play a team like Oregon State so that we can move into greater depths of discouragement?!?! So…rumors are flying about the fate of Charlie Weis. Should he get another year?

Haha Great photoshop! The Irish are completely dismal aren’t they! Weis needs to pack his bags asap. I miss the great years with Notre Dame and Michigan battling it out.

I think Charlie has a great future in motivational speaking. If his audience were Jewish, he could use the line, “Win one for the Kippur!” He and a couple of his predecessors have been a big boost to Gerry Faust’s legacy.

My only comment would be are the bragging rights for the Alumni worth 20 million? In this current recession (I just heard today it can be called a recession) and so many people losing there jobs, homes, etc, what does Notre Dame want to say to America?
Even if this is donated money, is this the right thing to do? What if ND told Alumni, we will take your 20 mill and get rid of Weiss, but only if you match it to donate to charity.

Domer football is pathetic. I agree that there’s no creativity in play selection. Also, all of the players must be half the size of the USC players, based on the way they got thrown around. How did every other team in America get better in the past 15 years while ND progressively got worse?
I am embarrassed for the team and for myself as a fan.

They’re already in a bowl, and the only invitation they should be given is one to flush the season that’s already floating the bowl.
Man, I’m glad they beat Navy this year or it would have been a real ugly end of the season. Oops, playing against the cadets didn’t help them look any better.

Give Charlie an extension. He is a football genius and a recruiting phenom. We love him. While you’re at it, give the AD a raise for doing nothing.

Looks like Charlie Weis will get another year. I think this is a good decision. Give him one more year. If things are the same (or worse) by this time next year, there will be no controvesy whatsoever. And…I like Charlie. I want him to succeed!

I think Charlie should go to Congress and ask for an ND bailout. Why not? Everyone else is.
