And another southside store bites the dust. Sear’s Essential is closing. Liquidation begins mid-March and the store is expected to be closed by May.
Great location for a Cracker Barrel!

Yes, I totally agree. That parking lot, and area in general is wasted space. Sear’s Essential was a bad idea from the start. Once they closed K-Mart, it should have stayed closed. Target, and now, Wal-Mart are to big of competitors for that place. I say, Yes to a Cracker Barrel.

I wonder how long it will be before my mom’s kmart store will close. Right now the only thing that is keeping that store open is the lay away. The bad thing is, when these other stores close, wal mart can raise their prices and we will be stuck paying whatever they want us to because the other stores will all be gone.

Best thing at Sears Essentials: AMP drinks, $1.50 instead of $2.99 at the gas station across the street.
Craftsman, the Sears brand once of Bob Vila and American quality… made in China.
Worst thing… “you could get that $1.50 soda for free if you open a Sears credit account while you are already handing me the cash for a *canned beverage*” I know they have to quote a 5 minute presentation to push credit card apps but… for a drink it should have been optional, especially with $1 and change already in hand.
