A first grade girl handed in the following drawing for a homework assignment:

After it was graded and the child brought it home, she returned to school the next day with the following note:

Dear Ms. Davis,

I want to be very clear on my child’s illustration.  It is NOT of me on a dance pole on a stage in a strip joint.  I work at Home Depot and had commented to my daughter how much money we made in the recent snowstorm.  This photo is of me selling a shovel.

So after church on Sunday I notice that I have a Facebook message from Janelle Ketchum.  It reads…and I quote, “So, how many people are going to show up for church at the wrong time next week?? No time change reminder?!?! YOU DROPPED THE BALL, PASTOR!! :)

Yea…I forgot to mention Daylight Savings Time.  But do you hear the tone in Janelle’s message?  It is like she is yelling at me by the end.  It seems kind of taunting doesn’t it?  Sort of a “You’re an idiot…dude!” kind of a message… a “let’s stick it to the man” kind of message.

Well…let’s go ahead and declare Sunday… “Prove Janelle Ketchum Wrong Sunday.”  How about everyone remember to change your clocks one hour ahead (I know…I’m sorry…this wasn’t my idea) and come to church on time.  And if you do…we’ll throw in some donuts and coffee.

Remember…this Sunday is important for two reasons.  It is:

1.  “Prove Janelle Ketchum Wrong Day

2.  Daylight Savings Time Begins

Few observations from last night’s Biggest Loser:

1.  The challenge was perhaps the MOST BORING challenge in the history of Biggest Loser.  Not that it wasn’t a noble thing to stuff food in boxes for hungry people, but to watch it on TV is a complete snoozefest!

2.  Kudos to Mike for giving Aubrey his winnings of a year’s supply of groceries (black team beat blue team…shocker…and received a year’s supply of groceries.  Mike is in college and doesn’t need it.)

3.  I bet blue team, who will be dominated in all challenges to come by the black team, regrets voting off Dane – clearly one of the strongest on the team.

4.  High drama with Laura and Jillian.  I didn’t quite get what the big deal was.  Tara was emphatic that it had crossed a line.  Jillian confessed it was the “meanest thing” she had ever done.  Complete drama.  She was trying to get Laura to see that she isn’t giving 100%, has been difficult to train, and in the perception of her team IS the weakest link.  Nothing else was working!!

5.  I hateto be continued…” shows.  Someone write the producers.

What do you think?  Think Mike is going to drop 10 pounds (which would double digit loss for the fourth week in a row); make it over the 77 pounds lost mark (collective goal among all the contestants); and save two people from being eliminated (which is the price of falling below the 77 lbs. goal)?
