Mercy Rule

Posted: May 4, 2009 in Living Stones Church, sports

We had our first Living Stones Church softball game.  It was rough.  It ended in a bench-clearing brawl.  Turns out Randy Romer doesn’t like when people say something about his mother.  What was weird was Tate Gerndt made the comment!  I’ve never seen a bench-clearing brawl on the same team:-)

I did think the four police cars were a little excessive, however, in regards to response.  Anyhow…lesson learned…don’t be talk’n’bout Randy’s mom.  Let that be a warning to the opposition next week.

Anyhow…after the melee…game resumed and we eventually lost.  The game was called because of the mercy rule.  I think the score was 18-3…I think.  But my baseball pants are still bright white!! :-)

Looking forward to next week!!

There are some people that really need to study this video!

LSC Dialogue

Tate Gerndt:  [Tate Gerndt walks in wearing khakis and a nice polo shirt]

Katrina Furbush:  Wow Tate, you look nice, why the fancy clothes?

Tate Gerndt:  We have a 1st communion to go to after church.

Paco Bayer [to me]:  Only at LSC can you walk in with khakis and a polo shirt and hear, “What are you so dressed up for?’

Sam Barrington:  [laugh]
