Bee Movie

Posted: November 2, 2007 in Movies

We went with the family to see the Bee Movie tonight.  It was EXCELLENT!!  I laughed a ton.  Even though it is a “kid” movie – it is the best adult kid movie I think I’ve ever seen.  The kids loved it, Kelly and I loved it.  If you get a chance, go see it.  Great storyline.

Navy versus Notre Dame

Posted: November 2, 2007 in Notre Dame, sports

Navy hasn’t beaten Notre Dame in 43 years.  The last time Navy won they had a young Roger Staubach (yes – thee Roger Staubach!) as their quarterback.  I’m curious if this might be Navy’s year.  I hope not.  My son Isaac is getting to go to the game with his grandpa.  It would be great if they could come home cheering an Irish victory!

Side note:  Sunday afternoon 4:15 p.m. (CORRECTION – this is a correction from earlier post where I said the game was at 1:00 p.m. – sorry everyone…thanks David Neibar!) – undefeated and National Champions Indianapolis Colts versus the (also) undefeated and Colt’s nemesis – the New England PatriotsAny predictions

Good News!!!  On Saturday night Daylight Savings Time comes to an end and we all get to move our clocks back one hour!  That means an extra hour of sleep.  That means everyone will be energetic, excited, and well-rested for my two hour sermon (O.K….maybe not two hours).  We will continue our  second week in the REAL GRACE series.  Sunday we will talk about Paul’s answer to the question, “If it is ALL about grace, why can’t I keep on sinning?”

Well…I was going to run the New York City Marathon but I heard they are trying to ban the use of music(ipods, headphones, MP3 players, etc.).  I’m taking a stand RIGHT NOW!!  I will not let this injustice go on.  I hereby officially withdrawal from the race.  I WILL NOT be running in the 2007 New York City Marathon.  Thank you.  Tell all of your friends. 🙂
