Vacation Bible School Day Four

Once again…another GREAT night.

I’m always amazed at the level of sacrifice that people are willing to make.  It just amazes me as I think through those who are sacrificing so much to make this VBS awesome.  There isn’t a pool of people who are sitting around at home watching TV eating bon-bons waiting for 6:00 p.m. to hit so they can finally have something to do in the day.  NO…I’m watching people who have worked ALL day at their job…and I mean worked hard ALL day at their job and run to the church as soon as they could get off work to continue to serve.  I’m seeing people manage large households, dealing with children ALL day, only to bring those children and manage larger groups of children!  I’m seeing people stay up late to prepare for the next day’s lessons.  I’m seeing people tack on extra responsibility than normal around the church to make sure everything is cleaned up and ready to go for another night of VBS.  I’m seeing people engage with kids, learn their story, have their heart break…and also envision a greater future.  I’m seeing parents make great efforts to bring their kids to VBS.  I’M SEEING A TON!!  And it boils down to this – sacrifice for the sake of children.  And it is beautiful to behold.  I love this church.

watching the look in the children’s eyes when those geysers blew off.. priceless…

seeing them dance and praise the Lord in total abandon….so so .. priceless

watching you and Kelly up there flexing your muscles to the power.. power.. wonder working power…I would have paid a $10 admission to see that..

hearing Gwen say that she would take the blame for someone if they did something wrong.. was so adorably priceless… Hey this is better than those commercials.. and I don’t need a credit card to be a part of it..
