Working on a Cow Farm

Posted: May 6, 2009 in South Bend

I know about once a year sometime around this time the farms on the outskirts of town are fertilizing their fields (at least that is what I think it is)…but right now it smells like I’m working in a cow farm with a bunch of cow patties all around me.

I’m not sure what I would prefer – this or ETHANOL!

Got to love South Bend.

Come live in Mishawaka, where you got the Ethanol Plant and the fertilizer, plus the Dog Food Factory. On clear, humid mornings about this time, it is the worst combination of smells you can think of.

ok I live in South Bend…work in Lakeville and went to Mishawaka across the street from the dog food plant…..what the heck? All I have smelled is pardon the pun…crap….I guess it didnt help that I was cleaning kennels all day either….but seriously where is the clean fresh air?

Ask me sometime about my visit to the Plymouth Fertilizer Company. Talk about an olfactory bouquet.

  4. Lori says:

Pig fertilizer does not smeel that great either

  5. Lindsey says:

Where is Mike Rowe!?!? He should come visit!

  6. Tracy says:

Try living in Cudahy, Wisconsin near the tanneries. I never breathed deep when I lived there.
