Baseball Feud

Kelly told me that tonight at Caleb’s little league baseball game (Southeast Little League) that a parent from the opposing team started yelling, cussing, and carrying on at the coach about why their child wasn’t playing in the infield.  The coach approached Caleb’s coach and asked if they could suspend play until the situation was resolved.  The coach then told the mother that they would not resume play until she left.  She did.  They continued.

I like this is a lot.  Clear.  Swift. Deliberate.  This is how you maintain a good league with clear parental expectations.

I knew a kid who kept getting points taken away at a wrestling match because his dad was cussing. Finally the kid asked the ref to throw his dad out so he would quit losing points…he did…..very sad.

taking any bets what that child life will become?
I sometime wonder if the parent even has a clue of her example she’s setting….

Cussing= the complete show of just how stupid our society has really become. and a hard habit to break.
