News headline:  Mishawaka man charged Tuesday for shooting daughter’s boyfriend

Can’t condone this violence, but oh man, not sure what I would have done…

20 year old with my 16 year old daughter….

What do you think…drop charges or prosecute to the full extent of the law?

Drop the charges. Would there be any charges to consider if the Dad went after the 20 year old with baseball bat? I don’t think so. As soon as a gun gets involved, all craziness happens.

  2. The Bishop says:

Definitely prosecute. If we condoned shooting men acting inappropriately with someone’s daughter, who knows? We might never have had our 42nd President?

  3. Melissa says:

The age difference isn’t that big to me. She’s old enough to consent so while they were disprespecting her father, they weren’t breaking any laws. If Dad weren’t such a hot head and had just thrown the guy out of his house, she might have had enough respect for him in the first place not to hide a guy in the bathroom.

  4. Jim Ruth says:

I had (have) three sons, but I do have two grandaughters and I know I would be disappointed had this hapened with them. But shooting someone, though I might have wanted to, would not be the way to solve the problem. I wonder, if there had been any mutual respect between the dad and daughter, any of this would have happened. The time to take care of this issue was from her birth to 15. Not at 16.

  5. Tracy says:

15 will get you 20….that’s all I’m sayin’.

We need more dads that will defend the honor that the trampy girls throw away.

  6. Mark says:

I don’t think the law states shes old enough to consent. I think castration would have been a much better Remedy. I’m just sayin!

  7. Elizabeth says:

I have friends that are facing a similar situation. They are praying curses on her and everyone that helps her. Sigh… Well meaning christians that are trying to ‘protect the other in the family”.
