Yes…I was influenced by my experience at U2’s 360 tour in Chicago a few weeks ago!!

But here it is.  A couple of times in the year we simply need a moment to talk about mission and vision at the Living Stones Church.  This Sunday was one of those Sundays.  A little different than normal…but it was sort of our “family conversation” about where we have been, where we are (with the myriad of issues we are dealing with 🙂 ), and where we believe God is calling us to go.

If you missed it (and if you are a Living Stoner I would really encourage you to listen to it)…

OR –

If you want to hear me talk so fast you would think I were an auctioneer; or you want to hear what it sounds like for someone to talk so fast that they cut off the phonic sound of the end of each word; or you want to hear someone garble the English language with some of the weirdest grammatical constructs ever but with great passion…here it is!! 🙂

  • How do you live as a Christian when you are surrounded by those who aren’t?
  • What should you do when you have received a new life in Jesus and rather than celebrating that reality with you, your spouse, family, friends, co-workers make fun and/or alienate you?
  • What happens when your faith in Jesus causes you to feel like you don’t quite fit in anymore with your social surroundings?

You have two options:  1) abandon all of your relationships with non-Christians and opt for only hanging out with Christians; or 2) learn how to live as a Christian in the middle of a non-Christian world.  We think you should choose option #2. Come Sunday as we begin talking about how to live as an authentic Christian even when it feels you are a “square peg” trying to fit in a “round hole.”
