And the Christian Service Award Goes to…

JIM RUTH!!!

Yea.  We had a Candlelight Walk on Saturday evening.  It included some live animals.  Well…animals do what…animals do…and they did it on our parking lot 🙂

So…Jim Ruth got a shovel and took care of it for us.  Talk about doing what needs to be done!  I bet he didn’t wake up and think, “I can’t wait to get to church so I can scoop poop!” 🙂

Thanks Jim!

Things that can be said about the LSC this past Sunday:

  • “Your church is full of crap.”
  • “It stinks around here.”
  • “You guys are full of it.”
  • “You’re parking lot needs attention.”
  • “You’re knee deep in…”

Didn’t keep people away.  11:30 a.m. service set a record in attendance.  We had more Sunday at 11:30 a.m. than we had in both services combined this time last year.

Another thing that could be said at LSC last Sunday: “Here’s what I think of your sermon!”

  2. The Bishop says:

Another thing that could be said at LSC last Sunday: “The Dung Gate was repaired by Malkijah son of Recab, ruler of the district of Beth Hakkerem. He rebuilt it and put its doors and bolts and bars in place.” (Neh. 3:14)

I’ll break my “no comment” rule to say thanks. But believe me it is real difficult not to continue. By the way, the grass WILL be greener on the other side of the fence this spring.

  5. Lori says:

That is awesome!!!!! (the attendance record, not the poop lol.)

Hey Jim – if you need summer work, they are hiring at Mackinac Island. Nicely done (clean up and attendance!)
