Everything in Perspective

I believe a trip to a pediatric-oncology floor or a stroll down the Riley Children’s hospital burn unit would cure a lot of Facebook statuses.

I learned the most from the 4 years of frequent international travels after high school during just a few days of children’s hospital visits. It was the turning point of a 5-month trip that had soured about 2 weeks into the stay. If a little 5 year old girl born with HIV in the hospital could be happy and play I could probably deal with whatever was bugging me.

Oh my word!!!! Hallelujah. I was just saying that I was seconds away from calling people out on facebook about their stati (is that the plural of status). Just ridiculous. Great point and I could not agree more!

  4. Lorinda Wallin says:

Everytime I go down with the girls I am more and more thankful to God for giving us such a great place to treat the girls and for giving a new perspective.

  5. Melissa says:

I miss everything good on fb when I’m at work!

  6. Melissa says:

Oh, wait… Is this about my dog posts?

  7. Lori says:

you can also add any ER in any hospital. The worst for me was trying to tell a family that their 13 year old son had unexpectedly died. That puts everything else into perspective.

  8. K. Rex Butts says:

    Well spoken piece of wisdom!

  9. Katie says:

Unfortunately we know that place all too well.
