Taming the Christmas Monster

The Living Stones Church begins a brand new message series this coming Sunday.  It is entitled Taming the Christmas Monster.

It’s that time of year again.  And if you’re anything like us, you’re thinking, “When did Christmas get so out of control?”  No matter how hard we try to slow down – we find ourselves hurrying.  No matter how hard we try to cut back – our lists grow longer.  No matter how hard we try to celebrate, the farther we seem from real joy.  It seems like our every effort to magnify Christmas has actually created a monster that stands in our way of truly experiencing it.

We believe this Christmas can be different.  This year come join us as we explore ways of “Taming the Christmas Monster” that prevents us from experiencing the beautiful, joyful reality that is Christmas.

December 5 – More, More, More! (i.e., lists, stuff, and events)

December 12 – Whatever it Takes (i.e., I just want the best Christmas – pleasing the Christmas beast)

December 19 – Please Make It Stop! (i.e., I am tired of and I just want it to be over)

Christmas Eve services – 5 p.m. & 9 p.m.

December 26 – Two morning services 9:30 & 11:30 a.m.
