City Snow Plows Are My Enemy

Posted: February 4, 2011 in Uncategorized

Two nights in a row a city snow plow has come down my street and pushed snow into my driveway (blocking me from getting in and out) and because of the temperatures it freezes to a solid brick.  So, I am declaring city snow plows my enemy.

Fortunately, because I’m trying to follow Jesus that means I need to love, pray, and bless city snow plows (that’s how we are supposed to deal with our enemies).  I don’t feel like it.  My heart doesn’t want to.  But I’m not following my heart, I’m trying to lead it.  So…love, pray, and bless it is.

But just so there is no lack of clarity.  They are in my “enemy” category.

  1. Melissa says:

Do you have a better option for getting the snow off the streets? Plows are my friend! Snow is my enemy.

  2. Melissa – don’t try to bring reason and rationality to this. This is pure emotive response from trying to dig out. Who has enemies based on reason and rationality? It is always emotive.
