This weekend is our birthday celebration.  The Living Stones Church officially turns 5!!!  That means this Sunday…we’ll be celebrating.  And I promise, you will not want to miss it.  If you do…you will be sad.  Like moving towards clinical depression sad which will probably necessitate being prescribed Zoloft or Paxil.  SO…rather than getting on these meds (if you aren’t already 🙂 ) – show up at either 9:30 a.m., 11:30, or 5:30 p.m. to celebrate God and His work in our church and community over the past five years.

We will have an opening (suggested by Ed Holstein [A.K.A. Sir Funkylicious]), there will be cupcakes, gifts, videos, stories, worship, pictures, balloons, laser light show (OK….maybe not a laser light show) etc.  It is a birthday party!!!

If you ever had anyone that you wanted to invite to church to hear what we are all about…THIS IS THE WEEK to do so!!

This coming Saturday is our I Love South Side Day!!!  Here is what we are doing – 1) show up to the church @ 11:00 a.m.; 2) grab a handful of Valentine gift bags (with hot chocolate, candy, etc.); 3) get with other LSCers; 4) head down Erskine Blvd. or Indiana Ave. and hand them out with a simple – “Happy Valentine’s Day!”  That is it.  NO strings attached.  One hour.  Great event for the kids to participate in.

Greg Frohna just came into my office to say that he and the Creative Arts team would like me to do this for Sunday.  I was honored they asked…and am looking forward to sharing my gift with all of Living Stones
