    I get this guys point and agree with much of it but I don’t like the dichotomy he makes between Jesus and religion since I am quite sure that Jesus was delighted to preach and practice the same kind of religion that we read of in James 1:27. I wonder if words like legalism, traditionalism, and institutionalism would have been a better choice over the word “religion”.

    Agreed…however, in many instances, religion has become synonymous with legalism, traditionalism, and institutionalsim. Not all, but a lot.

    And, unfortunately, it seems when we as Christians get any kind of press, it is usually showcasing those instances.

    I am also reminded of 1st Corinthians 10-13…
